The department of Zoology offers B.sc degree for students in scientific study of animals. Zoology concerned with study of animals and their habitats, ethology, behavior, morphology, anatomy, physiology, genetics and molecular biology. The department will establish a small Zoology museum to represent biodiversity in Sudan beside study the classification of animals. In addition to Bachelor of Science the department has postgraduate studies in different disciplines of zoology.

Objectives


Vision

"- To graduate highly qualified students in teaching education and researches in basic and applied zoological sciences. - Training under graduate and post graduate students to plan execute and writing excellent researches on animal biodiversity and conservation researches . - Provide student aware of research ethics and execute research relevant society needs. - Teaching advances courses and syllabuses in biotechnology and genomic and their application in molecular taxonomy of animal , environment , tropical diseases and cancer ."

"-To teach and to train the students highly advance courses and recent techniques in zoology. -To inspire the student to love animals and to conserve and to have creative scientific thinking and knowledge on animals biodiversity and systematic and their relation to Quran scientific miracles. -To pursuit a community vested researches and to elevate their awareness of society health problems and their control . -To maintain high standards of quality control to improve teaching , training and post graduate researches . -To attract national regional and international institute to fund under and post graduate researches and our laboratories . -To organize fields for retired parks and marine biology."
